What agent-shared-memory does

Starting with release 0.6.0, coordination memory lives inside the Durable decisions section of agent-context-budget. This standalone entry persists only as a temporary redirect stub to keep legacy prompts working until version 0.7.0 completely drops it.

The core interaction model stays strict: agent memory outputs remain proposals until a person manually approves them. Applying an approved change simply appends a new event entry, keeping historical records intact.

All schema details, approval mechanics, and the read/propose/decide/apply flows now reside in coord_memory_schema.md. Installing this stub is unnecessary once your repository adopts the newer migration paths directly.

What it helps with

  • route deprecated prompt instructions to agent-context-budget
  • preserve workflow execution for older plans prior to release 0.7.0
  • enforce manual human sign-off on memory proposal changes
  • maintain an append-only audit trail without modifying earlier events

Example prompts for the agent

  • Migrate tasks referencing agent-shared-memory to agent-context-budget
  • Draft a coordination memory proposal using the rules from agent-shared-memory
  • Verify that agent memory writes follow the append-only schema in coord_memory_schema.md

# agent-shared-memory (redirect)

Merged into [agent-context-budget](../agent-context-budget/SKILL.md) in 0.6.0.
Use its "Durable decisions" section. The event and proposal schema, approval
binding, and read/propose/decide/apply modes moved to
[coord_memory_schema.md](../agent-context-budget/references/coord_memory_schema.md).

The contract is unchanged: memory output is a proposal, only an explicit human
approval lets it apply, and applying appends a new event that never edits an
existing one.

This stub is removed in 0.7.0. See [migration 0.6](../../docs/migration-0.6.md).
