What 10x-cli-guide does

This skill guides an agent through 10xDevs CLI tasks: choosing a helper channel, fetching lesson-filtered course skills, using them in an agent task, and syncing changes while keeping local work. It also covers tool profile changes, release changes, and troubleshooting around access or content.

Before running commands, the agent checks the compatibility reference, CLI version, available content, and selected course. Downloads can be previewed with --dry-run, followed by checks of the installed files. Authentication starts only at the user's request. First-time setup relies on a separate 10x-cli-setup copy; this skill does not implement the CLI or provide course access.

A v3 project is not migrated to v4 by get, sync, or changing profiles. Start v4 in a separate directory and keep the existing v3 project intact. That distinction matters before changing editions.

What it helps with

  • fetch skills for a selected 10xDevs lesson
  • preview files before writing them into a project
  • sync course materials while keeping local changes
  • troubleshoot course, authentication, or content conflicts
  • choose a tool profile and helper installation channel

Example prompts for the agent

  • Check which 10xDevs skills are available for this lesson and show me the download preview.
  • Update the 10xDevs materials in this project without overwriting my local changes.
  • Explain how to move from a v3 project to v4 while keeping the current directory intact.
