What wiqd does

The plugin drops an orchestrator called wiqd into GitHub Copilot. It reads your request and hands it to the right workflow. Three extensions sit behind it: wiqd-ext-core covers the native fx-core cycle (create, edit, validate, provision, package, share, show, delete, env, migrate, localize), wiqd-ext-eval builds and runs evaluation suites on the PRA framework, and wiqd-ext-workiq watches agent behaviour and can query deployed agents. Some things the orchestrator handles itself from reference files: onboarding and lifecycle phases, CLI install and update, feedback, docs search, changelog.

Everything runs through the wiqd CLI. It scaffolds with agent create from a template, adds an action from an OpenAPI spec, a skill or auth, provisions into an environment, packages, shares with teammates, publishes to the tenant, runs evals with a threshold and repeat count, and offers monitor and ask against a live agent. doctor diagnoses problems, auth login and config set handle setup. A separate subagent, wiqd:wiqd, walks the Build → Improve → Preview → Publish route and picks the next step by looking at project state.

Provisioning, sharing and publishing all depend on auth: run wiqd auth login first or those commands will not go through. Evals take a threshold and repeats, so a large suite costs time. Localization and migration of an existing agent zip into a wiqd project are in the same CLI, which matters if you already built an agent by hand.

What it helps with

  • scaffold a declarative agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot
  • wire an action from an OpenAPI spec or add a skill to an agent
  • validate an agent manifest before it ships
  • provision an agent locally and share it with the team
  • run an evaluation suite and read usage telemetry

Example prompts for the agent

  • Create a new declarative agent for HR FAQ
  • Add a SharePoint capability to my agent
  • Validate my agent manifest

Questions about wiqd

How do I install wiqd in GitHub Copilot?

Run copilot plugin install wiqd@awesome-copilot.

What does wiqd do?

It drives a Microsoft 365 Copilot declarative agent through its full cycle: scaffolding, manifest edits, validation, provisioning, packaging, tenant publishing, evals and monitoring. The work happens through the wiqd CLI and the orchestrator inside Copilot.

What do I need before provisioning or publishing an agent?

Authentication. Run wiqd auth login; without it the provisioning, sharing and publishing commands will not run.
