The plugin hands the agent a relational map of the Vercel ecosystem plus a skill library covering products, the CLI, APIs and common workflows. It bundles 37 skills — deployments and CI/CD, environment variables, domains, CDN caching, queues, sandboxes, AI SDK, auth, feature flags. Four slash commands come with it: /vercel:deploy, /vercel:env, /vercel:status, /vercel:bootstrap.
The MCP server points at https://mcp.vercel.com and handles both reads and writes: inspect projects and logs, create deployments, update resources. Sign in and grant access to the right teams before touching account tools. Domain registration needs a quote and separate approval, and digital subscriptions, credits and add-ons cannot be bought over MCP — keep those in the web dashboard.
Installing through npx requires Node.js 18+ and Bun. Session-start activation only fires in empty directories and in detected Vercel, Next.js or eve projects, and skills are no longer injected on every tool call. The post-tool hook runs observer-only.
