strategy-frameworks — Claude Code plugin: 46 strategy frameworks
A Claude plugin that reads your problem statement, picks one to three strategy frameworks and runs them. Useful for competitor moves, bottlenecks and market choices.
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-community
/plugin install strategy-frameworks@claude-communityWhat strategy-frameworks does
The plugin ships 46 tools. Diagnosis covers TOC, Systems Thinking, SWOT + PESTEL and McKinsey 7S. For solving there is TRIZ, First Principles, Game Theory and Real Options. Positioning includes Wardley Mapping, Porter, Blue Ocean, BCG Matrix, Ansoff, RBV, Scenario Planning and Disruptive Innovation. Innovation work draws on Design Thinking, JTBD, Lean Startup and BMC; marketing on STP and Marketing Mix 4P/7P; execution on OODA, Drucker, Kotter and OKR; measurement on BSC; and Pyramid Principle handles how you present the result.
The main entry point is /think. It scans your prompt for keywords, chooses one to three frameworks, runs them in order and merges the output into a single insight plus three concrete actions. Two narrower commands exist: /think:select only recommends frameworks, /think:compare applies two or three of them to the same problem side by side. TOC and TRIZ stay directly callable as /toc and /triz, with sub-commands such as /toc:crt, /toc:five-steps, /triz:matrix and /triz:ariz — 10 and 9 sub-tools.
The remaining 26 frameworks carry user-invocable: false. They never show up in the slash menu; /think reaches them through the Skill tool. Installing the plugin needs access to its GitHub repository.
What it helps with
- work out how to answer a rival undercutting you on price
- locate the bottleneck in a process and plan around it
- run two or three strategies against one problem and compare
- choose which market or segment to enter
- set goals with measurable key results for a team
Example prompts for the agent
- A competitor is taking our key accounts with aggressive pricing. How should we respond?
- Use TOC to find where our release process is bottlenecked
- Compare Porter and Blue Ocean for our move into a new segment

Questions about strategy-frameworks
How do I install strategy-frameworks in Claude Code?
Through the plugin marketplace: run /plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-community, then /plugin install strategy-frameworks@claude-community.
What does strategy-frameworks do?
It bundles 46 strategy and management frameworks behind an auto-router. You describe the problem, /think classifies it, selects one to three frameworks, executes them and returns a synthesis with three actions.
Why are 26 frameworks missing from the slash menu?
They are marked user-invocable: false, so /think calls them through the Skill tool instead. Only TOC and TRIZ keep direct commands, since those are the ones people reach for by name.

## Installation
### One-Line Install (all 46 tools)
```bash
cd /path/to/your/project
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ironyjk/strategy-frameworks/master/install.sh | bash
```
Or manually:
```bash
cd /path/to/your/project
# 1. Strategy Frameworks (26 + think agent)
git clone https://github.com/ironyjk/strategy-frameworks.git /tmp/sf
cp -r /tmp/sf/{wardley,ooda,systems-thinking,blue-ocean,design-thinking,first-principles,porter,drucker,bsc,bcg-matrix,mckinsey-7s,swot-pestel,ansoff-matrix,disruptive-innovation,scenario-planning,stp,marketing-mix,jtbd,bmc,kotter,okr,lean-startup,real-options,game-theory,pyramid-principle,rbv,think} .claude/skills/
# 2. TOC Agents (10 sub-tools)
git clone https://github.com/ironyjk/toc-agents.git /tmp/toc
cp -r /tmp/toc/.claude/skills/toc .claude/skills/
# 3. TRIZ Agents (9 sub-tools)
git clone https://github.com/ironyjk/triz-agents.git /tmp/triz
cp -r /tmp/triz/.claude/skills/triz .claude/skills/
```
### Auto-Update (Recommended)
Register a `SessionStart` hook to auto-check for updates:
**Option A: Auto-register during install**
```bash
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ironyjk/strategy-frameworks/master/install.sh | bash -s -- --with-hook
```
**Option B: Manual hook registration**
Add to `.claude/settings.local.json` (or `~/.claude/settings.json`):
```json
{
"hooks": {
"SessionStart": [
{
"hooks": [
{
"type": "command",
"command": "bash .claude/skills/think/check-update.sh &"
}
]
}
]
}
}
```
The `&` runs in the background without blocking session start. Checks once per 24 hours, fails silently on network errors.
### Partial Install
```bash
# Just the frameworks you need
cp -r wardley porter .claude/skills/
```
> `/think` requires all 46 tools for full auto-routing.
### Other Platforms
These frameworks work with any LLM. The SKILL.md and references/ files are standard markdown.
**Cursor** — `cat wardley/SKILL.md >> .cursorrules`
**ChatGPT (Custom GPTs)** — Upload SKILL.md + references as Knowledge files
**Gemini** — Paste SKILL.md into System Instructions
**Open Source LLMs** — Load as system prompt
**As Human Reference** — The `references/` docs are standalone guides, no AI needed.
