What skills-for-copilot-studio does

The plugin provides four subagents: one manages agent content, one authors YAML, one tests published agents, and one offers design advice. Use them to clone an agent, sync local files with the cloud, edit topics, actions, knowledge sources, triggers, and variables, or run tests against a published agent.

You need Node.js 18+ and GitHub Copilot CLI or VS Code with the Copilot Studio Extension. The extension is required for clone, push, and pull operations. This is an experimental project, and the Copilot Studio YAML schema can change; review generated files before pushing them to your environment.

What it helps with

  • clone a Copilot Studio agent into local files
  • create and edit YAML for topics and actions
  • sync local changes with the cloud
  • test a published agent and analyze results
  • review an agent for known pitfalls

Example prompts for the agent

  • Clone a Copilot Studio agent into local files: /copilot-studio:copilot-studio-manage clone.
  • Create a topic for IT service requests with /copilot-studio:copilot-studio-author.
  • Test the published agent with a question about requesting a new laptop: /copilot-studio:copilot-studio-test.
