pr-artifact-explorer — GitHub Copilot plugin: PRs and Actions
A GitHub Copilot plugin for moving through pull requests and opening GitHub Actions artifacts: test results, static sites, terminal recordings, source files.
copilot plugin install pr-artifact-explorer@awesome-copilotWhat pr-artifact-explorer does
The plugin adds pull request navigation and GitHub Actions artifact browsing to GitHub Copilot. Test results, static sites, terminal recordings and source files all open from one place, so you stop downloading zip archives by hand from the web UI.
Install takes one command: copilot plugin install pr-artifact-explorer@awesome-copilot. It ships as part of the Awesome Copilot collection under the MIT license, written by David Pine.
Actions artifacts often hold things you would rather not expose: logs, screenshots, dumps. Browsing happens through the Copilot extension, so access follows your GitHub account — worth checking who else has rights on the repository before you open artifacts from someone else's PR.
What it helps with
- inspect artifacts from a failed Actions run without downloading the archive
- read test results straight from a pull request
- open a built static site stored as a build artifact
- check a terminal recording attached to a workflow run
- view source files from an artifact without cloning the branch
Example prompts for the agent
- show me the artifacts from the latest GitHub Actions run on this pull request
- open the test results artifact and list the failing cases
- what is inside this PR's artifacts — is there a static site?
