framecraft turns Claude Code into an automated video production system. Instead of capturing real displays, the assistant drafts custom HTML scenes, plans a scenes.json sequence, writes a script, and triggers rendering. The final deliverable is an MP4 file rendered at 1920x1080 resolution.
During setup, the package registers 4 MCP servers to handle the workflow: a framecraft pipeline runner, Playwright for frame capture, FFmpeg for audio mixing, and Edge TTS for narration. Without the ffmpeg system binary and Playwright's Chromium package installed, the rendering phase will halt.
Local requirements include Python 3.11 or newer, uv, Node.js with npx, and active internet connectivity for speech synthesis. Edge TTS offers 10 neural voice profiles (defaulting to andrew) without any API keys. Reusable templates like browser-mockup.html and title-card.html are included.
