hermes-tweet — Claude Code plugin: X/Twitter research with approval
Adds Hermes Agent tools for public X/Twitter research and for private or state-changing operations that need explicit approval.
/plugin marketplace add wshobson/agents
/plugin install hermes-tweet@claude-code-workflowsWhat hermes-tweet does
The plugin ships four pieces: tweet_explore for local route discovery with no credentials, tweet_read for public read-only X/Twitter routes, and tweet_action for private reads, writes, monitors, webhooks, extractions, draws and media work. A portable hermes-tweet skill carries the workflow guidance and references.
The split matters. Public reads start working as soon as XQUIK_API_KEY is set on the Hermes host. Anything private or state-changing sits behind HERMES_TWEET_ENABLE_ACTIONS, which stays off by default — keep it that way for read-first sessions and flip it to true only for one approved operation.
Install with hermes plugins install Xquik-dev/hermes-tweet --enable. Hermes scans plugins during install and update, so read every warning; a dangerous verdict blocks the install or disables an update. Approval boundaries live in skills/hermes-tweet/references/endpoint-contract.md, and workflow patterns in workflows.md.
What it helps with
- discover available X/Twitter routes without credentials
- read public X/Twitter data from inside the agent
- run a write or private read only after approval
- set up monitors and webhooks for X/Twitter events
- pull media or extracted data as part of a workflow
Example prompts for the agent
- show me which X/Twitter routes are available without a key
- read the public posts matching this query
- enable actions and publish the post after I confirm
