content-studio — Claude Code plugin: posts, ideas, Kanban board
A content workspace inside Claude: drafts LinkedIn posts and blog pieces in the author's voice, sparks ideas, and reviews what got traction. Ships with a visual editor.
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-community
/plugin install content-studio@claude-communityWhat content-studio does
Seven skills come with the plugin. They write a LinkedIn post, a blog draft of 800–1200 words, or an opinion column; they generate ideas from source material and look at engagement across what is already out. On first setup the skills learn the author's voice from sample texts.
There is also a Next.js app: a Kanban board with ideas, drafts and published columns, a markdown editor with preview, a metadata panel, and git commits from the interface. Autosave fires every 30 seconds. Start it with npm run dev inside content-studio once npm install has run. Posts sit as YAML under content/posts/{type}/, so search-posts.sh and print-published.sh can pull them from a terminal.
A session-start hook checks whether the editor is up. If it is not, the hook launches it in the background and opens a browser tab. That tab on every Claude launch is the thing to turn off if it gets in the way. Run /content-studio:setup-content-studio first: without it the writing skills fall back on generic templates and know nothing about your subjects.
What it helps with
- draft a LinkedIn post that sounds like the author, not like everyone else
- generate opinion ideas from posts already published
- find out which pieces drew a response
- produce an 800–1200 word blog draft
- keep ideas, drafts and published work on one board under git
Example prompts for the agent
- /content-studio:write-blog-post on our move away from a monorepo
- /content-studio:brainstorm-linkedin from this talk transcript
- /content-studio:analyze-performance across the published posts

## Getting Started
### 1. Install the Plugin
Add the marketplace and install:
```bash
claude plugin marketplace add techwolf-ai/ai-first-toolkit
claude plugin install content-studio@techwolf-ai-first
```
### Codex
From the repository root:
```bash
./install.sh content-studio
```
Update, uninstall, or verify:
```bash
./install.sh update content-studio
./install.sh uninstall content-studio
./install.sh verify content-studio
```
For Codex, this plugin installs:
- `content-studio` as the plugin-level entry point
- `setup-content-studio`
- `write-linkedin-post`
- `write-blog-post`
- `write-opinion`
- `brainstorm-linkedin`
- `brainstorm-opinion`
- `analyze-performance`
The installer also writes plugin metadata into each installed skill directory and copies a Codex guidance file into `~/.codex/skills/.techwolf-ai-first/plugins/content-studio/`.
### Google Antigravity
From the repository root:
```bash
./install.sh content-studio --ide antigravity
```
Update, uninstall, or verify:
```bash
./install.sh update content-studio --ide antigravity
./install.sh uninstall content-studio --ide antigravity
./install.sh verify content-studio --ide antigravity
```
This installs the plugin as `~/.gemini/config/plugins/content-studio/` (`plugin.json` + `installed_version.json` + `skills/`), the same layout Antigravity uses for its own plugins.
### 2. Set Up for a Person
Run the setup skill to create a personalized content studio:
```bash
/content-studio:setup-content-studio
```
This interactive process will:
1. Gather information about the author
2. Analyze their writing voice from example posts
3. Create a configured repo with guidelines, profile, and skills
4. Populate with their existing content
### 3. Start Writing
Once set up, use the writing skills:
```bash
/content-studio:write-linkedin-post
/content-studio:brainstorm-linkedin
```
## Content Studio UI
The Content Studio is a Next.js app that provides:
- **Kanban Dashboard** - Visual overview of all content across stages (Ideas, Drafts, Published)
- **Markdown Editor** - Write and preview content with real-time updates
- **Metadata Panel** - Manage stage, type, tags, and audience
- **Git Integration** - Commit and push directly from the UI
- **Auto-save** - Changes saved every 30 seconds
Start it with:
```bash
cd content-studio
npm install # first time only
npm run dev
```
## Hooks
The plugin includes a **session-start hook** (`hooks/ensure-content-studio.sh`) that automatically detects whether the Content Studio UI is running when you start a Claude Code session. If it's not running, it starts the Next.js app in the background and opens it in your browser.
## Content Workflow
```
Ideas (01-ideas) --> Drafts (02-drafts) --> Published (03-published)
```
All content is stored as YAML files in `content/posts/{type}/`, making it fully version-controlled and scriptable.
## Customization
The `templates/` directory contains starter files for personalizing the studio:
| Template | Purpose |
|----------|---------|
| `templates/CLAUDE.md` | System documentation with `{{AUTHOR_NAME}}` placeholders |
| `templates/guidelines/linkedin.md` | LinkedIn style guide template with theme placeholders |
| `templates/guidelines/opinie.md` | Opinion piece style guide template (language-configurable) |
| `templates/references/professional-profile.md` | Author profile skeleton |
## Scripts
| Script | Usage |
|--------|-------|
| `scripts/print-published.sh [type]` | Print all published posts with full content |
| `scripts/list-published.sh [type]` | List published post file paths |
| `scripts/search-posts.sh "<term>"` | Search posts by keyword |
| `scripts/list-by-type.sh <type>` | List all posts of a type |
