What claude-human-review does

When Claude Code changes files, the plugin holds the turn open. Claude adds brief comments to new or substantially changed classes, functions, and non-obvious configuration, then explains the edits and points out risks. Trivial helpers and tests are skipped.

Choose 1 to keep the edits or 2 to undo the files changed during that turn. Undo uses file snapshots and removes files created in the turn. Read-only activity, including Bash, Grep, and Glob calls, does not trigger the review. You need Claude Code with plugin and hook support, Python 3.9+ on PATH, and Bash for the helper scripts. The Python hooks have no third-party dependencies.

What it helps with

  • review file edits before a Claude Code turn ends
  • understand why changed functions were added
  • spot risks in authentication or SQL changes
  • roll back all file edits from one turn

Example prompts for the agent

  • Review the files you changed, explain the edits, and flag risks I should inspect.
  • Add brief comments to the changed functions, then wait for my decision.
  • Undo the file changes made in this turn.
