load-llms-txt — Claude Code command: docs loading
Loads external documentation from llms.txt or a custom source and adds project context. Useful when an agent needs reference material during coding.
npx claude-code-templates@latest --command documentation/load-llms-txtWhat load-llms-txt does
load-llms-txt retrieves documentation from an llms.txt file or another supplied source. Its default path loads the Xatu documentation data; custom sources can be checked for access, downloaded, and prepared for use with the project.
The command supports direct retrieval, format validation, merging with existing project documentation, and local caching. It also checks network access, looks for a local llms.txt or documentation cache, and reads package.json or README.md to detect project context. Remote sources depend on network access.
What it helps with
- load documentation from an
llms.txtfile - validate an external documentation source
- merge reference material with project docs
- cache documentation for offline use
- process a custom documentation source
Example prompts for the agent
- Load the Xatu documentation source with
/load-llms-txt. - Check a source format with
/load-llms-txt --validate. - Load documentation from a custom address with
/load-llms-txt --custom-url.
