gen — Claude Code command: what it does, how to install
Starts image generation from a prompt without an intent review. Use it when a direct, one-shot generation flow is enough.
/plugin marketplace add wshobson/agents
/plugin install meigen-ai-design@claude-code-workflowsWhat gen does
The command takes the user’s prompt and delegates image creation to the image-generator agent. Prompts shorter than 10 words go through mcp__meigen__enhance_prompt first; longer, detailed prompts are passed through as written.
gen does not ask for confirmation, suggest alternatives, or search the gallery with mcp__meigen__search_gallery. Once the agent responds, it adds a short creative remark. It never calls generate_image itself, because generation is always handed to image-generator.
In Claude Code, run /meigen-ai-design:gen <prompt>. Setup uses the plugin marketplace commands and .claude/commands/gen.md. The listed platforms also include Codex and Cursor.
What it helps with
- generate an image from a short description
- enrich a brief prompt before image creation
- delegate generation to the
image-generatoragent - start a generation request without confirmation
Example prompts for the agent
- Run
/meigen-ai-design:gento create a dark product-page cover. - Use
/meigen-ai-design:genwith a prompt for a pixel-art illustration. - Generate an image from this detailed description with
/meigen-ai-design:gen.

--- description: >- Quick image generation. Use when user runs /meigen-ai-design:gen with a prompt. Skips intent assessment, generates directly. argument-hint: <prompt> --- # Quick Generate Generate an image immediately from the user's description. This is the fast path — skip exploration and go straight to generation. ## Instructions 1. Look at the user's prompt: `$ARGUMENTS` 2. If the prompt is very short (under 10 words), call `mcp__meigen__enhance_prompt` first to enrich it, then use the enhanced result 3. If the prompt is already detailed (10+ words), use it directly 4. Delegate to the **image-generator** agent with the prompt (keeps base64 data out of main context) 5. When the agent returns, show a brief one-line creative comment about the generation Do NOT: - Ask for confirmation before generating - Suggest alternatives or options - Run mcp__meigen__search_gallery for references - Give lengthy explanations or describe the image - Call generate_image directly — always delegate to image-generator agent This is a quick-fire command. Generate and show.
