Google launches Display & Video 360 API v5 in public beta

Google has released a public beta of Display & Video 360 API v5, adding programmatic controls for targeting and audience management alongside native support for Digital Out of Home inventory. The platform is used by agencies and large advertisers to automate media buying.

The fifth version gives developers more control over targeting settings through the API. Complex targeting scenarios can now be configured and updated in batch. Agencies running multiple campaigns simultaneously can automate setup that previously required manual work in the DV360 interface.

API v5 introduces native support for Digital Out of Home, allowing DOOH inventory to be managed programmatically alongside display and video formats. Advertisers can create line items, set bids and pull reports for digital billboard campaigns through the same interface.

Audience management methods have been rebuilt. Segment creation, editing and application now integrate more easily with advertiser CRM data, reducing workarounds when syncing lists for retargeting campaigns.

The update targets teams that build internal bid-management systems or agency dashboards. Methods may change before the public release.
