OpenCode is an open-source terminal agent where you pick the model provider yourself; the anomalyco/opencode repository had 220,923 stars on 2026-10-24. It reads rules from AGENTS.md in the project and ~/.config/opencode/AGENTS.md, and falls back to CLAUDE.md when those are missing. The instructions field in opencode.json pulls in other files too, Cursor rules included, by glob or URL.
OpenCode looks for skills in .opencode/skills/, .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/, so Claude Code skills work without moving anything. A skill name must match its folder name and be unique across all those locations. The built-in skill tool loads a skill when the agent decides it needs one.
