What vidmuse does

This skill gives an agent a way to handle VidMuse work through the vidmuse command runtime. Covered areas include account state and subscription plan, model discovery across video, audio, image and text, generated and uploaded assets, style and voice library entries, generation parameters, thread and message operations, and long-term memory. The agent keeps its answers on the VidMuse task itself rather than on the command.

Setup starts by looking for vidmuse on PATH. If it is missing, the skill pulls the installer from https://vidmuse.sandcdn.com/cli/install.sh, or install.ps1 on Windows PowerShell, then checks vidmuse --version. Authentication is probed with vidmuse profile get --output json; an auth error means the skill asks first, since browser and device login need the user to act. On a local desktop that is vidmuse login, on a headless terminal vidmuse login --device, and when the shell cannot keep a long-running command visible, the flow splits into vidmuse login --device --start followed by vidmuse login --device --complete once the user confirms.

Local preview and rendering pull in extra tools. vidmuse serve needs FFmpeg only for video thumbnails, while vidmuse render requires Node.js 22+ and FFmpeg; without HYPERFRAMES_BIN it runs npx --yes [email protected], so npm access is required on the first such render. The skill will not install system packages on its own.

What it helps with

  • check VidMuse account state and remaining subscription credits
  • find a model for video, audio or image generation
  • review style and voice library entries before generating
  • open a thread and post a message into it
  • create or update a long-term memory entry

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show my VidMuse account state and how many credits are left
  • List the available video generation models
  • Create a thread and send a message with these generation parameters
