ux-principles — Claude Code skill: UX rules for your agent
Gives your coding agent usability heuristics, user research methods and accessibility checks, so interface work follows known rules instead of guesswork.
npx skills add manutej/luxor-claude-marketplace --skill ux-principles -a claude-codeWhat ux-principles does
The skill hands the agent a reference set: the four principles of user-centered design, the five stages of design thinking, and Nielsen's ten usability heuristics with notes on each. Ask it to rework a form or review a screen and it argues from those definitions rather than improvising.
Inside are written sections with principles and examples — visibility of system status, match with the real world, user control and freedom, consistency, error prevention, recognition over recall. Flexibility, aesthetics, error recovery and documentation follow. The material stops partway through the seventh heuristic.
Worth installing if you build interfaces and want the agent to cite specific principles. On a purely backend task it just adds context weight, so check the work is actually about user experience first.
What it helps with
- review a screen against usability heuristics
- plan user research for a new feature
- spot accessibility barriers in a form
- write personas and a user journey map
- cut friction from a checkout flow
Example prompts for the agent
- run this screen through Nielsen's heuristics and list what breaks
- help me plan a usability test for the signup form
- check our checkout for accessibility issues and suggest fixes
