tech-doc-style-chinese — skill for Claude Code and Codex
Style rules for Chinese technical writing: spacing between CJK and Latin, corner brackets, no buzzwords. Ships with a Python linter.
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill tech-doc-style-chinese -a claude-codeWhat tech-doc-style-chinese does
The skill covers Chinese product copy, UI strings, API references, FAQs and changelogs. Typography comes first. A space goes between Chinese characters and Latin letters or digits, and visible text uses corner brackets 「」 instead of curly quotes. Code literals, JSON keys, URLs and database field names are exempt.
Tone rules are just as specific. Direct address with 你 or 您 is out, and so are buzzwords like 赋能 or 抓手. English status words get translated by meaning: Success becomes 请求已完成, not a literal 成功. Tables cover common typos and term casing, so id turns into ID, json into JSON, llm into LLM.
The repo includes scripts/lint_copy_rules.py, a zero-dependency script that checks files or directories. CI runs it on pull requests. Project-specific conventions belong in references/Project-Overrides.md, invoked alongside the skill — otherwise the linter flags your own module names.

Questions about tech-doc-style-chinese
How do I install tech-doc-style-chinese in Claude?
Run npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill tech-doc-style-chinese -a claude-code. The skill file lands at ~/.claude/skills/tech-doc-style-chinese/SKILL.md.
What does tech-doc-style-chinese do?
It sets writing rules for Chinese technical documentation: typography, tone, status translation and section structure. A linter checks your text against them.
How is it different from plain style guides?
It ships a runnable lint script plus tables of typos and term casing. Project conventions go into references/Project-Overrides.md so they do not fight the core rules.
