safety-scan — Claude Code skill: injection detection
Scans inputs for prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, and unsafe content before processing. Use it when handling untrusted data from users, APIs, or webhooks.
npx skills add ruvnet/ruflo --skill safety-scan -a claude-codeWhat safety-scan does
safety-scan detects direct and indirect injections, instruction override attacks, phishing prompts, and data exfiltration patterns. It works at three levels: a quick boolean check via mcp__plugin_ruflo-core_ruflo__aidefence_is_safe, detailed threat classification and confidence scores via mcp__plugin_ruflo-core_ruflo__aidefence_analyze, and comprehensive multi-layer scanning via mcp__plugin_ruflo-core_ruflo__aidefence_scan. You can train the detector on real attacks in your project using mcp__plugin_ruflo-core_ruflo__aidefence_learn.
Installation requires npm and access to the ruvnet/ruflo repository. Once installed, the skill is available as a built-in tool in your IDE. Call it before passing untrusted input to a model or executing commands. View detection rates and false positive metrics with mcp__plugin_ruflo-core_ruflo__aidefence_stats.
What it helps with
- block prompt injection before model processing
- detect jailbreak attempts in user submissions
- validate webhook and API payload safety
- train the detector on project-specific attacks
- monitor false positive rates in production
Example prompts for the agent
- Check this user input for safety before processing
- Scan the webhook payload for injections and threats
- Analyze this prompt — is there an attempt to override instructions?

Questions about safety-scan
How do I install safety-scan in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add ruvnet/ruflo --skill safety-scan -a claude-code. The skill will be installed to ~/.claude/skills/safety-scan/SKILL.md and available in your IDE.
What does safety-scan do?
It scans inputs for prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, data exfiltration patterns, and other adversarial content. It operates at three levels: a quick safe/unsafe check, detailed threat analysis with classification, and full multi-layer scanning.
Which platforms support safety-scan?
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode. Each platform has its own installation method via npx or gh CLI.
