rp-diet — Claude Code skill: nutrition from Renaissance Diet 2.0
A skill that answers diet questions with real numbers: calories, macros, meal timing and phase planning. Useful when you want grams, not generalities.
npx skills add borisghidaglia/science-based-lifter --skill rp-diet -a claude-codeWhat rp-diet does
The skill hooks into your agent and handles questions about fat loss, muscle gain, maintenance, meal timing and nutritional periodization. It ships as 17 chapter files covering diet priorities, calorie balance, macronutrients, nutrient timing, food composition, supplements and hydration, adherence, hunger management, periodization, diet design, tracking and adjustments, body composition assessment, special cases, competition nutrition, gut health, alcohol, and fads such as intermittent fasting and cleanses.
Answers follow a priority hierarchy: calories first, then macros, then timing, then composition, with supplements last. The agent reads the relevant chapter before replying and gives figures — grams per pound of bodyweight, percentages, phase durations. Every answer closes with a source attribution block.
The material comes from The Renaissance Diet 2.0, and the skill author includes an affiliate link to the book. This is guidance for healthy trainees, not clinical advice. Install runs through npx skills add or gh skill install, depending on your platform.
What it helps with
- work out calories for a cut or a bulk
- set protein, carb and fat targets in grams per pound
- plan how long a cut or bulk should run and how fast
- decide what to do about meal and workout timing
- sort supplements that work from detox and fasting myths
Example prompts for the agent
- How many calories and macros do I need to cut at 80 kg?
- Lay out a muscle gain phase: rate, duration and weight limits
- Which supplements actually work and which are hype?
