reverse-skill-router — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Routes reverse engineering, security analysis, CTF, and defensive testing tasks through the reverse-skill repository.
npx skills add zhaoxuya520/reverse-skill --skill reverse-skill-router -a claude-codeWhat reverse-skill-router does
This skill uses the reverse-skill repository as an entry point for reverse engineering, security analysis, CTF, and defensive testing. It reads RULES.md, then runs skills/scripts/master-route to select the primary skill from skills/config/routing.json.
Before any target action, it creates and validates work/<case>/scope.md with case-init and case-guard. It then opens skills/<PRIMARY>/SKILL.md and resolves tools through skills/tool-index.md. MCP servers and tools are not installed unless the user asks for that action.
The repository must be the current workspace or supplied through a local path. Treat the scope contract as the authorization boundary: the presence of the skill, a target name, or a sample path does not grant permission.
What it helps with
- route a task to the repository's primary skill
- create a scope file for a case
- validate boundaries before touching a target
- resolve approved tools from the tool index
- run CTF or defensive testing tasks under repository rules
Example prompts for the agent
- Use `reverse-skill-router` to analyze this security case and start by checking its scope.
- Route this reverse engineering task through `reverse-skill-router`, create `work/<case>/scope.md`, and follow the authorized steps.
- Run defensive testing under the `reverse-skill` rules, and do not install MCP servers or tools unless I request it.

Questions about reverse-skill-router
How do I install reverse-skill-router in Claude Code?
Run these steps in order: npx skills add zhaoxuya520/reverse-skill --skill reverse-skill-router -a claude-code, run the same command again, then open ~/.claude/skills/reverse-skill-router/SKILL.md.
What does reverse-skill-router do?
It selects a primary skill with skills/scripts/master-route, checks the case scope, and sends the task to the relevant SKILL.md in the reverse-skill repository.
What does reverse-skill-router require before it can work?
The reverse-skill repository must be the current workspace or be available through a supplied local path. Before target actions, the workflow needs work/<case>/scope.md, case-init, and case-guard.

--- name: reverse-skill-router description: Use the reverse-skill repository from Codex for authorized reverse engineering, security analysis, CTF, and defensive testing tasks. Requires the reverse-skill repository to be available as the current workspace or an explicitly supplied local path. --- # Reverse Skill Codex adapter This plugin is an optional Codex entry point. The repository remains the canonical, client-neutral implementation. When the current workspace is the `reverse-skill` repository: 1. Read `RULES.md` at the repository root. 2. Run the platform-native `skills/scripts/master-route` entry with the user's task to select the PRIMARY skill from `skills/config/routing.json`. 3. Before any target action, create and validate `work/<case>/scope.md` with the platform-native `case-init` and `case-guard` scripts. 4. Open the selected `skills/<PRIMARY>/SKILL.md` and follow its task-specific instructions. 5. Resolve tools only through the generated `skills/tool-index.md`; do not register MCP servers or install tools unless the user requested that action. If the repository is not the current workspace and no local repository path was supplied, explain that this adapter does not bundle a second copy of the router. Ask the user to open or clone `https://github.com/zhaoxuya520/reverse-skill` and then continue from its `RULES.md`. Do not treat the presence of this plugin, a target name, or a sample path as authorization. Authorization comes from the repository's scope contract.
