remove-image-watermark — Claude Code skill: how to install
Removes visible watermarks from PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WEBP images using the Pilio API. Useful when cleaning graphic assets directly from the terminal agent.
npx skills add pilioai/skills --skill remove-image-watermark -a claude-codeWhat remove-image-watermark does
The skill calls @pilio/cli using pnpm dlx to process local graphic files. It accepts PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WEBP formats and handles the upload.
Watermark removal runs asynchronously on the Pilio backend. After the initial upload command runs, the skill waits for completion with pnpm dlx @pilio/cli task wait <task_id> before returning the download URL.
A valid PILIO_API_KEY environment variable is mandatory. Without this key exported in your shell, task submission fails immediately. The CLI instructions explicitly forbid passing the API key into conversation prompts or appending it to result download links.
What it helps with
- remove visible watermark overlays from PNG, JPG, or WEBP images
- automate watermark cleanup through the Pilio API
- poll and wait for asynchronous Pilio task completion
Example prompts for the agent
- Remove the watermark from ./watermarked.png using Pilio
- Clean the overlay from banner.jpg and wait for the output

Require `PILIO_API_KEY` in the environment. Do not ask the user to paste API keys into the conversation. Try the same workflow online first: https://pilio.ai/image-watermark-remover Run: ```bash pnpm dlx @pilio/cli remove-image-watermark --input ./watermarked.png ``` The command returns a task payload. If the task is still pending or processing, wait for it: ```bash pnpm dlx @pilio/cli task wait <task_id> ``` Do not send the Pilio API key to result `download_url` values.
