What qa-report does

qa-report keeps durable QA documentation in the repository, using docs/qa/ by default. It maps user journeys as Mermaid flows, derives scenarios from those maps, and prepares session charters for personas. Scenarios remain untested until qa-execution runs them.

The skill also checks for an existing bug with the same symptom before adding a registry entry, then links the bug to affected scenarios. For a new or full cycle, it checks the planning tree; a targeted update can focus on affected entries. This skill plans sessions. qa-execution runs them and records evidence.

Pass [qa-docs-path] to choose a different location; otherwise, the tree goes under docs/qa at the repository root. It should be a durable repository location, not a temporary directory. To install in Claude Code, run npx skills add pedronauck/skills --skill qa-report -a claude-code.

What it helps with

  • map a user journey with a Mermaid flow and an abandonment path
  • derive linked QA scenarios from a journey map
  • prepare persona-based session charters
  • find a duplicate symptom and update its bug record
  • check planning coverage for a QA cycle

Example prompts for the agent

  • Plan QA for the profile changes: update the journey map, scenarios, and session charters in docs/qa.
  • Add a persona for the checkout journey and prepare a session with one tour.
  • Search docs/qa/bugs for this symptom and update its existing record if it is already tracked.
