mf — Claude Code skill: Module Federation answers
A skill that handles Module Federation questions: config, shared dependencies, type and runtime errors, slow builds, observability.
npx skills add module-federation/agent-skills --skill mf -a claude-codeWhat mf does
The mf skill parses your request and routes it to one reference file under reference/. Sub-commands are short: docs, context, module-info, integrate, type-check, shared-deps, perf, config-check, bridge-check, runtime-error, observability. Plain language works too. Mention a traceId, a .mf/observability path or a code like RUNTIME-007 and the skill picks observability, even when another error code sits in the same message.
It then reads that file and follows its instructions, handing the leftover arguments over as ARGS. Browser work goes through Divebell. Raw CDP, a separately launched debug Chrome, Playwright and Puppeteer are all off the table next to it, so a team already running Playwright for browser tests keeps MF checks in a separate lane.
When no sub-command and no signal match, the skill prints the sub-command table and asks you to choose. Its tool list is fixed: file reads, node, npx tsc, npx mf dts, curl, divebell, plus file writes and edits.
What it helps with
- make sense of an existing Module Federation config
- wire MF into a fresh or half-built app
- track down a type error in
@mf-typesand dts output - find out why builds and HMR got slow
- decode a runtime code such as
RUNTIME-001
Example prompts for the agent
- Show me what MF is set up in this project: role, bundler, context
- Add Module Federation to this app and tell me which config keys change
- Pull an observability report for remote loading and walk me through the
traceId

Questions about mf
How do I install mf in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add module-federation/agent-skills --skill mf -a claude-code. The skill lands at ~/.claude/skills/mf/SKILL.md.
What does the mf skill do?
It answers Module Federation questions: concepts and runtime API, configuration, shared dependencies and singletons, type and runtime errors, observability, build speed, Bridge integration, and adding MF to a project.
How does it pick the right reference file?
Either from the sub-command you type or from signals in the request. If neither matches, it shows the sub-command table and asks you to pick.
