What keyid-agent-kit-mcp does

This skill hooks your agent into KeyID.ai through the @keyid/agent-kit stdio MCP server. The agent gets an address immediately. It exposes 27 distinct tools handling message filtering, replies, thread lookups, drafts, auto-responders, and signature templates.

Cryptographic identity relies on Ed25519 keypairs. The process creates a pair on initial startup and logs both values to stderr. Unless you export those keys as KEYID_PUBLIC_KEY and KEYID_PRIVATE_KEY in your environment, the server spins up a fresh keypair on the next launch and assigns a different address. No account registration or manual tokens are needed.

The server also includes tools for contact storage, address allowlists, delivery metric queries, and inbound webhook endpoints. Network requests route to https://keyid.ai.

What it helps with

  • Assign an active email inbox to an AI agent
  • Search and read incoming email threads directly through MCP
  • Set up automatic replies and forwarding rules
  • Manage contact lists and monitor delivery metrics

Example prompts for the agent

  • Check the inbox for unread messages sent by team members
  • Draft a project update email and send it to the contact list
  • Query KeyID metrics to verify delivery numbers and bounce rates
