git-get-notification — Claude Code skill: how to install and use
Queries GitHub through gh api to summarize notifications, open issues, and pull requests over the past 7 days across monitored repositories.
npx skills add zc277584121/mygitplugin --skill git-get-notification -a claude-codeWhat git-get-notification does
The skill checks inbound updates across preconfigured repositories from the Milvus and Zilliz ecosystem. It queries gh api and splits notifications into priority tiers. Mentions and review requests appear first. Thread comments follow next. Subscriptions and check-suite alerts are skipped as noise, and unread items remain unread on GitHub.
Alongside notifications, the tool fetches open issues and active pull requests created or updated within the last 7 days. Results cap at 10 items per repository. Closed issues and merged pull requests are discarded automatically. If you do not name a specific target, the agent scans every project in its list.
Working with this skill requires an authenticated gh CLI in your shell; without it, API requests fail. The target repositories are hardcoded into the instruction file. The template also directs the agent to output summaries in Chinese, which requires editing the prompt if you prefer English responses.
What it helps with
- filter review requests and mentions from noisy notifications
- inspect recently opened pull requests across specific repositories
- track weekly issue activity without marking items as read
Example prompts for the agent
- Check my GitHub notifications for updates
- Show recent issues and PRs in
mcp-server-milvus - What is new across the monitored repositories this week?
