implement · posit-dev — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Coordinates the rollout of a plan file by splitting work across parallel subagents. It checks git branch status and monitors progress.
npx skills add posit-dev/skills --skill implement -a claude-codeWhat implement does
The skill reads a plan file and picks an orchestration guide based on available tools. If the environment provides Agent, TaskCreate, TaskUpdate, and TaskList, it follows references/claude-code.md. When task and read_agent are present, it reads references/copilot-cli.md. Otherwise, it falls back to references/generic.md.
Subagents handle distinct tasks at the same time instead of waiting in line. Before any worker touches the code, the skill inspects the git branch state. An unexpected branch or uncommitted changes will halt the run right away.
You invoke it with the path to your plan document. You can also override the model by supplying the --model flag with sonnet, haiku, or opus.
What it helps with
- delegate tasks from a plan file to parallel subagents
- verify git branch status before applying changes
- track implementation progress across plan milestones
- switch execution instructions based on detected agent tools
Example prompts for the agent
- /implement plans/my-plan.md
- /implement plans/my-plan.md --model sonnet
- /implement plans/feature.md --model opus
