firecrawl-scraper — Claude Code skill: scrape sites with Firecrawl
A Claude skill for deep page scraping, screenshots, PDF parsing and site crawling through the Firecrawl API.
npx claude-code-templates@latest --skill web-development/firecrawl-scraperWhat firecrawl-scraper does
The skill wires Firecrawl into Claude so the agent can pull page content, take screenshots, parse PDFs and crawl a batch of URLs. Reach for it when a plain fetch is not enough and the page needs clicking, scrolling or data from many addresses at once.
Under the hood it is a single SKILL.md with the description and setup steps. You install it with npx, then set your Firecrawl API key as an environment variable, and the skill runs inside normal Claude conversations. No key means no scraping, so set it before the first run.
The skill targets Claude. The same repository ships paths to the same SKILL.md for Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and Windsurf, so you do not have to port the logic by hand.
What it helps with
- pull article text from a page whose content loads via scripts
- grab a screenshot of a page for a report or layout check
- parse a PDF and extract the data inside
- crawl a list of URLs and collect the content in one pass
- collect material from a site that needs clicks and scrolling
Example prompts for the agent
- scrape the text of every page listed in urls.txt with firecrawl-scraper
- take a screenshot of this page and show me what is above the fold
- parse the PDF at this link and pull out the pricing table
