email-security-auditor-cpp — Claude Code skill: setup & use
Validates email credentials and audits inbox authentication via SMTP and IMAP using C++. Built for authorized security testing and credential stuffing assessments.
npx skills add reason-machines/security-skills --skill email-security-auditor-cpp -a claude-codeWhat email-security-auditor-cpp does
This skill provides a C++17 utility for evaluating mail server authentication defenses. It tests credential pairs by connecting over TLS on port 587 for SMTP or SSL on port 993 for IMAP. For providers like Gmail or Outlook, the tool automatically detects mail host domains without manual configuration.
Verification runs concurrently with std::thread. Parallel threads process entries from text files without blocking the main loop. The program writes results into separate files for valid and failed attempts, then generates a summary audit report.
Building the binary locally requires libssl-dev or the platform equivalent of OpenSSL, without which compilation fails at link time.
What it helps with
- audit email account credentials through SMTP and IMAP protocols
- evaluate mailbox resistance against credential stuffing attacks
- execute concurrent multi-threaded account validation from a file
- export segregated output lists for valid and rejected credentials
Example prompts for the agent
- Compile the email auditor executable using CMake and OpenSSL
- Run an IMAP authentication audit on credentials.txt with 10 parallel threads
- Configure an SMTP credential check with a 30 second connection timeout
