What ctrader-mcp-servers does

The skill activates whenever an agent touches a cTrader MCP server. It ships a ledger of known server quirks, a self-healing playbook, and a routing rule that tells the local HTTP server apart from the remote one by tool names and response shape. The agent caches that routing decision for the session.

Scripts under scripts/ use the Python standard library only, so no third-party packages are needed. Python 3.12 or newer still has to be on PATH, or the bundled scripts will not run. The skill is limited to Read, Grep, Glob and Bash(python *).

Every runtime claim carries a build stamp. Each quirk entry includes a Verify-fixed probe and a removal condition, so when the server is patched you delete the row and that is the whole cleanup. If a server behaves in a way the schema and the ledger do not cover, the skill says to follow the playbook instead of guessing.

What it helps with

  • tell a local cTrader MCP server from a remote one by its tool names
  • keep both legs of a position alive when amending it
  • find out why MARKET rejects absolute SL and TP values
  • avoid silent market fills caused by pipettes versus display prices
  • classify a server error and pick the right recovery step

Example prompts for the agent

  • work out which cTrader MCP server is bound right now and apply the matching rules
  • I'm amending a position — check the ledger that both legs survived
  • the server rejected a MARKET order with absolute SL, what does the playbook say
