competitor-content-analyzer — Claude Code skill: competitor content
Reads competitor blogs, whitepapers and content strategy, then points out what your own plan is missing. Useful when you need to see which topics you skipped.
npx skills add OneWave-AI/claude-skills --skill competitor-content-analyzer -a claude-codeWhat competitor-content-analyzer does
The skill turns the agent into a competitive content analyst. It goes through rival posts and whitepapers, lines them up against your strategy and names the gaps. Output is a markdown report with a results block and a list of next steps.
Everything lives in a single SKILL.md file with instructions and an output template. There are no scripts and no external services, so the analysis is only as good as the URLs, texts or exports you put in front of the agent.
The output format is fixed: a heading, a timestamp, a results section and a recommendations section. Want a different report shape? Edit the template inside SKILL.md, otherwise the agent keeps coming back to it.
What it helps with
- spot topics competitors covered and you did not
- summarise rival blogs and whitepapers
- get next steps for the content calendar
- compare your publishing plan against a competitor's
- prepare a report for the marketing team
Example prompts for the agent
- Analyze this competitor's blog and show which topics are missing from our content plan
- Summarise whitepapers from three competitors and flag gaps in our strategy
- Compare our recent posts with the competitor's and give recommendations
