What cold-outreach does

The skill lays out a five-part framework. Core principles come first: pattern interruption, value before the ask, real personalization, mobile-first formatting, a single CTA. Then SPARK Flow — subject hook, personalized opening, problem agitation, relevant value, kick-off CTA. Three more blocks cover channel mix across email, LinkedIn and calls, a 3-touch cadence over 14 days with a new insight each step, and testing of subjects, openers, value props and send times.

Templates ship with it: a subject line bank, email templates for observation and insight, problem/solution and referral, plus LinkedIn connection and post-accept scripts. There is also a personalization trigger sheet for company and individual signals, a follow-up schedule checklist, and angle cheatsheets for SaaS, e-commerce, financial services and healthcare. Templates load on demand — the full text opens once you are actually generating copy, not before.

The skill sets its own benchmarks: 30% opens and 10% replies. If your numbers sit below that, it is a reason to rework openers and value props rather than swap tools. Every opener should anchor on a real trigger — funding, a hire, a recent post — and lines should stay under 60 characters for mobile readability.

What it helps with

  • build an outbound sequence for a new persona or segment
  • personalize cold email and LinkedIn outreach at scale
  • diagnose falling open or reply rates
  • design a follow-up cadence for SDRs or founder-led sales
  • pick subject lines and openers for a specific industry

Example prompts for the agent

  • Build a cold email sequence for SaaS founders: three touches over 14 days, each with a new insight
  • Write a LinkedIn opener around the trigger that the company just hired a Head of Sales, keep lines under 60 characters
  • Give me five subject lines for the financial services segment, each with a single CTA

# Cold Outreach Mastery

## When to Use

- Building outbound sequences for new personas or segments
- Personalizing cold email / LinkedIn outreach at scale
- Diagnosing low open or reply rates in existing sequences
- Designing follow-up cadences for SDR/XDR or founder-led sales

## Framework
1. **Core Principles** – pattern interruption, value before ask, authentic personalization, mobile-first formatting, single CTA.
2. **SPARK Flow** – Subject hook → Personalized opening → Agitate problem → Relevant value → Kick-off CTA.
3. **Channel Mix** – email templates + LinkedIn touches + call follow-ups working together.
4. **Cadence Design** – 3-touch follow-up over 14 days with new insights each step.
5. **Experimentation** – test subject/openers/value props/CTAs/send times; watch ≥30% opens, ≥10% replies.

## Templates
- Subject line bank ("Quick question about [initiative]", "Noticed you're hiring [role]", etc.)
- Email templates (Observation & Insight, Problem/Solution, Referral) plus LinkedIn connection + post-accept scripts.
- Personalization trigger sheet (company + individual signals) and follow-up schedule checklist.
- Power phrase/reference list and industry-specific angle cheatsheets (SaaS, e-comm, financial services, healthcare).

## Tips
- Anchor every opener on a real trigger (funding, hiring, post) and keep lines <60 chars for mobile readability.
- Offer a resource or benchmark before requesting time; it increases reply rate.
- Log A/B test results weekly to evolve templates, and share top-performing subject lines with the team.
- Keep all templates in a shared library with progressive disclosure to avoid template fatigue.
