cli-anything-godot — Claude Code skill: Godot CLI
Controls Godot projects from the command line, including scenes, GDScript runs, and exports. Useful when an agent needs to change or inspect a game project.
npx skills add HKUDS/CLI-Anything --skill cli-anything-godot -a claude-codeWhat cli-anything-godot does
This skill gives an agent a CLI for Godot project work. It can create projects and scenes, inspect scene structure, add child nodes, list scenes, scripts, and resources, and re-import project resources.
The same interface runs a GDScript file, executes inline code, and validates script syntax. It can list export presets, build every preset, or build one selected preset. Add --json for structured output; session starts an interactive REPL.
Godot 4.x must be available on PATH, or you need to set GODOT_BIN. Check that binary path first, because the skill depends on a working Godot installation.
What it helps with
- create a Godot project at a chosen path
- inspect a scene and add a child node
- validate a GDScript file
- run a script or inline GDScript code
- build an export with a selected preset
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a Godot project in
./my-game, name itMy Game, and return project information with--json. - Read
scenes/Level1.tscn, then add aCharacterBody3Dnode namedPlayerwith.as its parent. - Validate
scripts/player.gd, then export the project with theWindows Desktoppreset tobuild/game.exe.
