catalyst-sdk — Claude Code skill: Catalyst SDK per platform
A skill that tells the agent how to initialize the Catalyst SDK and reach its services on Node.js, Python, Java, web and mobile.
npx skills add catalystbyzoho/agent-skills --skill catalyst-sdk -a claude-codeWhat catalyst-sdk does
The skill handles a recurring mess: the agent writes Catalyst code but mixes up initialization and service calls between platforms. Each platform gets its own reference file — references/sdk-nodejs.md, references/sdk-web.md, references/sdk-python.md, references/sdk-java.md, and references/sdk-mobile.md covering Android in Kotlin, iOS in Swift and Flutter in Dart.
It runs in steps. First it identifies the platform, then loads the matching file, and always shows the init call before any service-specific code. That keeps a DataStore call from showing up before the app object exists.
Some quirks bite. The Web SDK authenticates in the browser and has no service account; the Node.js SDK initializes server-side; mobile SDKs need the Catalyst project ID in the config. If you are building for the browser and expect a server-side init, the code will not come together — worth checking sdk-web first.
The Node.js reference covers DataStore, ZCQL, Cache, Stratus with multipart and signed URLs, Auth, Email, NoSQL, Job Scheduling, Circuits, Connections, Search and Push Notifications. Python adds Zia and SmartBrowz, while Java covers Maven setup plus SmartBrowz with Selenium and PDF.
What it helps with
- initialize the Catalyst SDK for a given platform
- call DataStore or ZCQL without breaking the call order
- set up browser auth in the Web SDK
- generate a PDF through SmartBrowz in the Java SDK
- wire Push Notifications on Android, iOS or Flutter
Example prompts for the agent
- initialize the Catalyst SDK for Node.js and show DataStore usage
- how do I check whether a user is authenticated in the Web SDK?
- set up SmartBrowz in the Java SDK to generate a PDF

Questions about catalyst-sdk
How do I install catalyst-sdk in Claude?
Run npx skills add catalystbyzoho/agent-skills --skill catalyst-sdk -a claude-code. The skill lands in ~/.claude/skills/catalyst-sdk/SKILL.md.
What does catalyst-sdk do?
It loads the Catalyst SDK reference for the platform in question and shows initialization before any service code. Node.js, Web, Python, Java, Android, iOS and Flutter are covered.
How do the platform SDKs differ?
The Web SDK authenticates in the browser with no service account, the Node.js SDK initializes server-side, and mobile SDKs require the Catalyst project ID in the config.
