ai-traffic-tracking — Claude Code and Codex pointer skill
An old discovery entry for the AI-referral tracking skill. The actual instructions now live in the Open Analytics repository.
npx skills add kostja94/marketing-skills --skill ai-traffic-tracking -a claude-code
npx skills add kostja94/marketing-skills --skill ai-traffic -a claude-codeWhat ai-traffic-tracking does
There is no tracking logic here. The file is a redirect note: the maintained rules for counting AI-assistant referrals and watching generative search visibility sit in kostja94/open-analytics under skills/ai-traffic-tracking/SKILL.md. This entry stays so that older install paths and links keep resolving.
Installing through the skills marketplace still works, though it brings you nothing beyond that note. The live skill comes from npx skills add kostja94/open-analytics --skill ai-traffic-tracking. On the other platforms the install lines call the skill ai-traffic, so the name in a command does not always match the catalog entry.
Need the AI-source rules themselves? Take the Open Analytics copy. This one carries no rules of its own and will drift further from the maintained version over time.
What it helps with
- find the current location of the skill after the move
- install the skill from a repository that is still maintained
- keep old documentation links working
- work out which skill name belongs in the install command
