accelerate-python-resolvers — Claude Code skill: setup and use
Converts Python feature resolvers in Chalk codebases into native columnar expressions. It runs diagnostics and rewires unsupported operations to satisfy the static accelerator.
npx skills add chalk-ai/chalk-ai-plugins --skill accelerate-python-resolvers -a claude-codeWhat accelerate-python-resolvers does
Chalk optimizes Python resolvers by turning function bytecode into native columnar logic via symbolic execution. Functions must meet strict accelerator rules. The skill invokes accelerator-diagnostics.py inside a project containing chalk.yaml or chalk.yml. It parses reported errors and rewrites code.
Most issues come from nullable arguments. The skill inserts explicit checks with fallback values. When code calls libraries like uuid, it switches to supported modules like hashlib. Conditional variables get initial values before branching.
Broken imports exit immediately with code 2. Always run inside the virtual environment with chalk installed. Requests hit https://accelerator.chalk.ai by default, though local setups accept --host http://127.0.0.1:8780.
What it helps with
- fix static accelerator diagnostics in Chalk resolvers
- add null guards to nullable feature inputs
- replace unsupported imports with standard library equivalents
- initialize conditional variables before branching paths
Example prompts for the agent
- Run
accelerator-diagnostics.pyand resolve any acceleration issues in my Chalk project - Check why the
get_scoreresolver cannot be accelerated statically - Update nullable features in this resolver to pass Chalk static analysis

Questions about accelerate-python-resolvers
How do I install accelerate-python-resolvers in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add chalk-ai/chalk-ai-plugins --skill accelerate-python-resolvers -a claude-code in your terminal.
What does accelerate-python-resolvers do?
It provides a guided workflow to prepare Chalk feature resolvers for static compilation. The tool inspects bytecode diagnostics, points out unsupported instructions, and adjusts Python functions into clean columnar expressions.
Why does the diagnostic check fail with exit code 2?
The diagnostic runner executes python -m chalk.cli export before analyzing resolvers. If the repository has syntax errors or missing dependencies, the export command stops before static inspection can run.
