What voltagent-dev-exp does

The plugin drops a set of subagents into Claude Code with one purpose: less friction in everyday development. build-engineer owns compilation and build caching, dependency-manager handles version conflicts across packages. CLI tools, documentation and MCP servers each get a specialist of their own.

Some entries are deliberately narrow. readme-generator reads install steps, scripts and environment variables out of the repository files themselves. docs-drift-editor rewrites only pages already flagged as stale against a code diff: minimal edits, headings and anchors left alone, no invented commands or versions. It expects an isolated git worktree, because that is the execution step it was written for inside a drift-detection pipeline.

PowerShell gets dedicated help too. One subagent organizes modules and profiles so they hold across Windows PowerShell 5.1 and PowerShell 7+, another builds WinForms, WPF and terminal interfaces on top of automation modules.

What it helps with

  • produce a README from the repo's real setup steps
  • repair stale doc pages with surgical edits
  • untangle a package version conflict before it breaks the build
  • shrink monorepo build time through caching
  • turn loose PowerShell scripts into a reusable module

Example prompts for the agent

  • Write the README for api-gateway from the files: real install commands and every variable in .env.example.
  • Find the version conflict in package.json and tell me which upgrades are safe.
  • Design the branching model for a repo where main ships every week.
