What ui-design does

The plugin bundles three specialized subagents: ui-designer, accessibility-expert, and design-system-architect. It covers web tech like React, Vue, Svelte, and Tailwind, alongside mobile UI via SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, and React Native. Built-in slash commands handle component generation, interface reviews, and WCAG accessibility tests.

Artifacts such as token files, component specs, and audit reports go into a local .ui-design/ directory. Generating design tokens requires Node.js 18+, so token builds will fail without that runtime installed.

What it helps with

  • audit interface code for WCAG 2.2 AA or AAA accessibility compliance
  • scaffold multi-platform design tokens using Style Dictionary or Figma Variables
  • generate components matching iOS Human Interface Guidelines or Material Design 3
  • review existing UI components for layout and styling issues

Example prompts for the agent

  • /ui-design:create-component Card --platform react
  • /ui-design:accessibility-audit --level AA
  • /ui-design:design-review --file src/components/Button.tsx
