A Beads variant adds persistent task tracking, Git-backed memory, and searchable retrospectives; it requires the Beads CLI and MCP server, Go 1.23+, and ICU headers. The manual setup needs the Claude Code CLI and Git, while Windows symlink setup requires Developer Mode.
