What crowdcast does

crowdcast turns text documents into interactive multi-agent environments. Supply an article or draft chapter alongside a target query, and the tool extracts key entities. It generates profiles with distinct viewpoints and begins multi-round discussions. Core personas reason separately, while crowd dynamics update in batches.

Execution relies on dedicated subagents for document review, persona drafting, simulation, and report compilation. Each step writes progress to JSON files inside .crowdcast/simulations/. If a run gets interrupted, the resume command recovers state from the last checkpoint.

Scale caps at roughly 100 agents due to context boundaries. It cannot handle massive populations like dedicated cluster engines, but it avoids Docker setups and paid third-party APIs. Everything executes within your standard Claude subscription.

What it helps with

  • forecast audience reactions to policy or product announcements
  • simulate multi-character story branches from rough narrative drafts
  • interview simulated participants directly inside the terminal
  • generate analytical prediction summaries from structured discussion logs

Example prompts for the agent

  • /crowdcast simulate ./brief.pdf "How will small businesses react to these regulations?"
  • /crowdcast simulate ./story.txt --mode=creative "Continue the scene after the breach"
  • /crowdcast interview sim_a3f8b2c91d04 mayor_chen
