The official ClickHouse plugin for Claude ships two things. First, a set of skills holding best-practice rules on schema design, query optimization and data ingestion. Second, an MCP server that links Claude to the ClickHouse Cloud Remote MCP server.
With the MCP server connected, the agent can list organizations, services, databases and table schemas, run read-only SQL against your clusters, and pull up backup status, billing costs and ClickPipe configurations. The skills load on their own whenever you touch ClickHouse — there is no command to invoke them.
Rules come from ClickHouse/agent-skills and stay current through a weekly GitHub Action that pushes upstream changes straight to main; the source lives as a git submodule at submodules/agent-skills. Queries are read-only, so nothing in your data gets modified through the plugin. Licensed under Apache 2.0.
