Плагин даёт агенту доступ к Atlan через MCP-сервер mcp.atlan.com/mcp. Запросы идут естественным языком: найти таблицу, проследить, откуда в неё попадают данные, поправить термин в глоссарии.
Внутри 15 MCP-инструментов, 12 включены сразу, ещё 3 открываются через флаги функций. Кроме поиска и lineage есть управление сертификатами, создание и расписание правил валидации, организация доменов и дата-продуктов. Инструкции для агента лежат в скилле atlan-search — он учит, какой инструмент брать под конкретный фильтр: типы, теги, владельцы, домены, качество.
Авторизация через OAuth, ключи API не нужны. Для локальной проверки плагин запускают командой claude --plugin-dir ./claude-plugin, но сам локальный MCP-сервер в репозитории помечен как устаревший: его поддерживают без новых функций, а подключаться советуют к mcp.atlan.com/mcp.
