## What it does

This skill equips coding agents with reference material for the native Zoom Meeting SDK on macOS. It covers meeting lifecycle workflows, architecture guidelines, desktop feature controllers, and join or start patterns for hosts and attendees.

The skill links directly to official API docs and the `marketplacefront.zoom.us` reference. It also includes `RUNBOOK.md` for a five-minute preflight check and debugging routine.

Your integration requires valid environment variables and PKCE authentication parameters. If SDK authentication credentials are missing, meeting initialization will fail immediately.

## Install

### Codex (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/plugins --skill macos -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/macos/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Claude Code

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/plugins --skill macos -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/macos/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/macos/

### Cursor

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/macos/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install openai/plugins macos
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/macos/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/openai/plugins --path plugins/zoom/skills/meeting-sdk/macos
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/macos/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/openai/plugins/tree/HEAD/plugins/zoom/skills/meeting-sdk/macos/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- embed Zoom meetings into a macOS app using custom or default UI
- configure PKCE and SDK authentication workflows
- implement host start and participant join patterns
- troubleshoot connection failures with the 5-minute runbook

## Example prompts
- Show me how to implement the join and start meeting pattern with Zoom SDK on macOS
- How do I configure PKCE authorization for a macOS Zoom client?
- Help me debug meeting controller issues using the macOS reference guide
