## What it does

This skill covers wiring the Zoom Meeting SDK into a native iOS app. It lays out the architecture, the meeting lifecycle, and a join-or-start pattern, with scenarios for both the default and a custom UI.

Auth gets its own pass: PKCE alongside SDK authentication, and a ZAK when the app starts a meeting as host. There is a reference for environment variables and a section on versioning and compatibility, which is worth reading before the agent touches your project code.

When a build fails or a meeting refuses to start, `RUNBOOK.md` holds a five-minute preflight and a debugging checklist, plus a list of common issues. The material points back to Zoom's own docs and API reference.

## Install

### Codex (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/plugins --skill ios -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/ios/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Claude Code

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/plugins --skill ios -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/ios/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/ios/

### Cursor

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/ios/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install openai/plugins ios
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/ios/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/openai/plugins --path plugins/zoom/skills/meeting-sdk/ios
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/ios/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/openai/plugins/tree/HEAD/plugins/zoom/skills/meeting-sdk/ios/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- embed a Zoom meeting in a native iOS app
- build the meeting screen on the SDK default UI
- put a custom UI on top of the Meeting SDK
- set up PKCE and SDK authentication
- start a meeting as host with a ZAK

## Example prompts
- Wire the Zoom Meeting SDK into my iOS app and show me the join-start pattern
- How do I set up PKCE and SDK auth for an embedded Zoom meeting?
- The meeting won't start as host — walk RUNBOOK.md and find the cause
