## What it does

The skill hands your agent ready-made bypass chains for Windows defenses. It covers AMSI bypass categories with detection-risk notes, patching `EtwEventWrite` to cut telemetry, loading .NET assemblies with `Assembly.Load`, turning a .NET EXE into shellcode with donut, and a comparison table of process injection techniques from `CreateRemoteThread` to transacted hollowing.

A separate section deals with EDR API hooks: direct syscalls via SysWhispers2/3, HellsGate, HalosGate and TartarusGate. Entry points route to neighbouring skills, so when AV blocks privilege escalation or lateral movement tooling, the playbook points you there.

This is offensive tooling, not a hardening guide. Some techniques assume .NET 2.0 is present for the PowerShell v2 downgrade, and memory patches only live inside the process. Worth installing if you test your own defenses on your own lab machines.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yaklang/hack-skills --skill windows-av-evasion -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/windows-av-evasion/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/windows-av-evasion/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yaklang/hack-skills --skill windows-av-evasion -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/windows-av-evasion/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yaklang/hack-skills --skill windows-av-evasion -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/windows-av-evasion/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install yaklang/hack-skills windows-av-evasion
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/windows-av-evasion/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yaklang/hack-skills --skill windows-av-evasion -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/yaklang/hack-skills --path skills/windows-av-evasion
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/windows-av-evasion/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yaklang/hack-skills --skill windows-av-evasion -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/yaklang/hack-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/windows-av-evasion/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- bypass AMSI when running a PowerShell script
- disable ETW telemetry before loading a .NET assembly
- convert a .NET EXE into shellcode with donut
- pick an injection technique with a lower detection risk
- remove ntdll hooks with direct syscalls

## Example prompts
- show me AMSI bypass techniques for PowerShell
- how do I load a .NET assembly in memory without touching disk
- what shellcode injection options have the lowest detection risk

# SKILL: AV/EDR Evasion — Expert Attack Playbook

> **AI LOAD INSTRUCTION**: Expert AV/EDR evasion techniques for Windows. Covers AMSI bypass, ETW bypass, .NET assembly loading, shellcode execution, process injection, unhooking, payload encryption, and signature evasion. Base models miss detection-specific bypass chains and syscall-level evasion nuances.

## 1. AMSI BYPASS OVERVIEW

AMSI (Antimalware Scan Interface) inspects PowerShell, .NET, VBScript, JScript, and Office macros at runtime.

### Key AMSI Bypass Categories

| Category | Method | Detection Risk | Persistence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Memory patching | Patch `AmsiScanBuffer` in `amsi.dll` | Medium | Per-process |
| Reflection | Modify AMSI init flags via .NET reflection | Medium | Per-session |
| String obfuscation | Encode/split AMSI trigger strings | Low | Per-payload |
| PowerShell downgrade | Force PS v2 (no AMSI) | Low | Per-session |
| CLM bypass | Escape Constrained Language Mode | Medium | Per-session |
| COM hijack | Redirect AMSI COM server | Low | Per-user |

### Quick AMSI Bypass (One-Liners)

```powershell
# PowerShell v2 downgrade (if .NET 2.0 available — no AMSI in v2)
powershell -Version 2
# Reflection-based (set amsiInitFailed = true)
# Obfuscated to avoid static detection — see AMSI_BYPASS_TECHNIQUES.md for full patterns
```

---

## 2. ETW BYPASS

ETW (Event Tracing for Windows) feeds telemetry to EDR. Patching `EtwEventWrite` stops .NET assembly load events.

### Patch EtwEventWrite

```csharp
// C# — patch EtwEventWrite to return immediately
var ntdll = GetModuleHandle("ntdll.dll");
var etwAddr = GetProcAddress(ntdll, "EtwEventWrite");
// Write: ret (0xC3) to first byte
VirtualProtect(etwAddr, 1, 0x40, out uint oldProtect);
Marshal.WriteByte(etwAddr, 0xC3);
VirtualProtect(etwAddr, 1, oldProtect, out _);
```

### PowerShell ETW Bypass

```powershell
