## What it does

The skill gives your agent context on WildWorld, a large action-conditioned dataset collected from a photorealistic ARPG. It covers 108M+ frames, 450+ actions, 29 monster species, 4 player characters, 4 weapon types and 5 stages. Every frame carries annotations: character skeletons, states such as HP, animation and stamina, camera poses, depth maps and hierarchical captions.

The skill documents the expected directory layout and Python helpers: a `WildWorldClip` class for reading a clip and a `WildWorldDataset` for PyTorch that yields sequences of frames, actions and states. Dependencies are `PIL`, `numpy`, `torch` and `torchvision`, installed with `pip install -r requirements.txt`. The dataset and the WildBench benchmark were not yet released at the time of writing, so the code targets a future release. Worth checking the repository before wiring the skill into a pipeline.

Use it when you are preparing data for generative models that predict the next game state from past frames and player actions. If you only need RGB frames, most of the annotation layers will sit unused.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill wildworld-dataset -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/wildworld-dataset/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/wildworld-dataset/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill wildworld-dataset -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/wildworld-dataset/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill wildworld-dataset -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/wildworld-dataset/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install reason-machines/trending-skills wildworld-dataset
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/wildworld-dataset/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill wildworld-dataset -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/reason-machines/trending-skills --path skills/wildworld-dataset
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/wildworld-dataset/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill wildworld-dataset -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- load a WildWorld clip and read its per-frame annotations
- build a PyTorch Dataset for next-frame prediction
- pull HP, animation and stamina states from JSON
- get depth maps and camera poses for each frame
- prepare frame and action sequences for world modeling

## Example prompts
- show me how to load a WildWorld clip and print HP and action for the first 100 frames
- build a PyTorch Dataset from WildWorld with sequence length 16
- explain the WildWorld dataset directory structure
