## What it does

The skill handles two jobs: getting tracker data into your project and finding reading material for it. Apple Health comes in as an XML or ZIP export, Fitbit connects through OAuth2 or a CSV file, and Oura Ring syncs over API v2. There is also a generic CSV/JSON path with field mapping for devices outside that list.

Imported records get standardized: fields from each platform are mapped to a local format, checked for types and ranges, and summarized in an import report with record counts and the covered date range. A knowledge base index ships inside the skill, organized by nutrition, fitness, sleep, mental health and chronic disease. Recommendations read `data/profile.json` plus files under `data/blood-pressure/` and `data/sleep/`.

Fitbit and Oura need API access, and the Apple Health export is yours to produce — the skill only reads the file. Its tool list is limited to `Read`, `Grep`, `Glob` and `Write`, so it stays inside project files. If your data lives in some other shape, expect to write the field mapping yourself before anything imports cleanly.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huifer/WellAlly-health --skill wellally-tech -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/wellally-tech/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/wellally-tech/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huifer/WellAlly-health --skill wellally-tech -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/wellally-tech/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huifer/WellAlly-health --skill wellally-tech -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/wellally-tech/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install huifer/WellAlly-health wellally-tech
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/wellally-tech/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huifer/WellAlly-health --skill wellally-tech -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/huifer/WellAlly-health --path skills/wellally-tech
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/wellally-tech/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add huifer/WellAlly-health --skill wellally-tech -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/huifer/WellAlly-health/tree/HEAD/skills/wellally-tech/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- turn an Apple Health export into readable JSON
- pull steps and sleep from Fitbit over the API
- sync Oura Ring records for a chosen period
- map columns of an arbitrary CSV onto the local schema
- surface articles matching unusual blood pressure or sleep

## Example prompts
- Import my health data from Apple Health
- Connect my Fitbit and fetch the last month of data
- Find WellAlly articles about hypertension

### 4. Intelligent Article Recommendations
- **Health Status Analysis**: Based on user health data analysis
- **Relevance Matching**: Recommend articles most relevant to user health conditions
- **Category Navigation**: Organize knowledge base articles by health topics

## Usage Instructions

### Trigger Conditions

Use this skill when users mention the following scenarios:

**Data Import**:
- ✅ "Import my health data from Apple Health"
- ✅ "Connect my Fitbit device"
- ✅ "Sync my Oura Ring data"
- ✅ "Import CSV health data file"
- ✅ "How to import fitness tracker/smartwatch data"

**Knowledge Base Query**:
- ✅ "Articles about hypertension on WellAlly platform"
- ✅ "Recommend some health management reading materials"
- ✅ "Recommend articles based on my health data"
- ✅ "WellAlly knowledge base articles about sleep"
- ✅ "How to improve my blood pressure (check knowledge base)"

**Data Management**:
- ✅ "What health data sources do I have"
- ✅ "Integrate health data from different platforms"
- ✅ "View imported external data"

### Execution Steps

#### Step 1: Identify User Intent

Determine what the user wants:
1. **Import Data**: Import data from external health platforms
