## What it does

The skill covers Webflow Cloud work from the command line: initializing a project from a template or an existing GitHub repository, deploying it, and managing apps, domains, environments, deployments and environment variables including secrets. Deploys come in two modes — site-attached, which targets an existing Webflow site, and project app, which stands alone with no site required.

Inside is a step-by-step flow: check that the CLI is installed, detect project state from `webflow.json` and the git remote, then pick one of three paths. The canonical namespace is `webflow apps`; `webflow cloud` survives as a deprecated alias whose `init` and `deploy` hit the same handler. Two exceptions matter: `--import` exists only on `apps init`, and `--json` plus `--dry-run` only on `apps deploy`. Running through `cloud` prints a one-time deprecation notice on stderr.

The catch is that the agent runs without a TTY, so the CLI's interactive prompts are silently skipped. Every required flag has to be passed explicitly or the command fails with something like `--app-name cannot be empty`. The skill ships a table of required flags per command variant, which is worth checking before the first run.

## Requirements
- Works with: GitHub

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add webflow/webflow-skills --skill webflow-cli:cloud -a claude-code
```
```bash
npx skills add webflow/webflow-skills --skill webflow-cloud-command -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/webflow-cloud-command/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/webflow-cloud-command/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add webflow/webflow-skills --skill webflow-cloud-command -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/webflow-cloud-command/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add webflow/webflow-skills --skill webflow-cloud-command -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/webflow-cloud-command/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install webflow/webflow-skills webflow-cloud-command
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/webflow-cloud-command/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add webflow/webflow-skills --skill webflow-cloud-command -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/webflow/webflow-skills --path plugins/webflow-skills/skills/webflow-cloud-command
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/webflow-cloud-command/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add webflow/webflow-skills --skill webflow-cloud-command -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/webflow/webflow-skills/tree/HEAD/plugins/webflow-skills/skills/webflow-cloud-command/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- scaffold a Webflow Cloud app from a template
- import an existing GitHub repo into Webflow Cloud
- wire up CI/CD with GitHub Actions
- set secrets and environment variables for an app
- track down why a build failed using the logs

## Example prompts
- Initialize a site-attached Webflow Cloud app from the astro template
- Deploy the project to the production environment and show me the build logs
- Import this GitHub repo as a project app with no site attached

# Webflow Cloud

Initialize new projects from templates or an existing GitHub repository, deploy to Webflow Cloud, and manage existing apps (list, inspect, logs, deployments, environments, environment variables). Deploys support two modes: **site-attached** (deploy to an existing Webflow site) and **project app** (deploy as an independent app, no existing site required).

## Namespaces: `apps` (canonical) vs `cloud` (deprecated alias)

`webflow apps <command>` is the canonical namespace for Webflow Cloud. `webflow cloud <command>` still works — its `init` / `deploy` forms are **aliases of the same handler** — but is deprecated in favor of `apps`.
