## What it does

Internal enrichment only reshuffles what the portal already holds. When a contact's email, direct dial or title is nowhere in HubSpot, this skill reaches outside. FullEnrich is the default adapter: it runs a waterfall across more than 20 upstream sources until one returns a hit. Apollo, Hunter and Dropcontact ship alongside, and `providers/_template.py` is the contract for wiring in a provider your team already pays for. One env var switches between them: `ENRICHMENT_PROVIDER=apollo`.

A run moves through four stages. `scripts/before.py` counts candidates and prints a cost ceiling without touching anything. `scripts/execute.py` picks up to `MAX_CONTACTS` contacts, waits for the typed word `ENRICH` before credits are spent, calls the adapter, then waits for `WRITE` before it updates HubSpot. `scripts/after.py` compares the new counts against the baseline. Non-empty values stay untouched unless `ENRICHMENT_OVERWRITE=true`, and every write or skip lands in a CSV with the old value, the new one and the provider source. That `old` column is your rollback.

You need a HubSpot service key with contact read/write scopes in `.env`, Python 3.10+ with `uv`, and an API key for whichever provider you pick. Enrichment ships contact names and company details to a third party and brings personal data back in, so clear it with whoever owns your data processing agreements first.

## Requirements
- Works with: HubSpot

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add TomGranot/hubspot-admin-skills --skill waterfall-enrich-contacts -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/waterfall-enrich-contacts/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/waterfall-enrich-contacts/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add TomGranot/hubspot-admin-skills --skill waterfall-enrich-contacts -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/waterfall-enrich-contacts/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add TomGranot/hubspot-admin-skills --skill waterfall-enrich-contacts -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/waterfall-enrich-contacts/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install TomGranot/hubspot-admin-skills waterfall-enrich-contacts
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/waterfall-enrich-contacts/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add TomGranot/hubspot-admin-skills --skill waterfall-enrich-contacts -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/TomGranot/hubspot-admin-skills --path skills/waterfall-enrich-contacts
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/waterfall-enrich-contacts/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add TomGranot/hubspot-admin-skills --skill waterfall-enrich-contacts -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/TomGranot/hubspot-admin-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/waterfall-enrich-contacts/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- fill missing phone numbers on HubSpot contacts
- find work emails from a name plus domain
- backfill job titles for a CRM lead list
- swap in your own enrichment provider
- undo a bad run from the audit CSV

## Example prompts
- Count the candidates and the cost ceiling: `uv run scripts/before.py`
- Run the phone enrichment through FullEnrich: `uv run scripts/execute.py`
- Compare the results against the baseline: `uv run scripts/after.py`

# Waterfall-Enrich Contacts with External Providers

Fill missing emails, phone numbers, and job titles on HubSpot contacts using an external enrichment provider, then write results back with a full audit trail. The provider layer is pluggable: **FullEnrich** (a waterfall aggregator that queries 20+ upstream sources until one hits) is the default, with Apollo, Hunter, and Dropcontact adapters included and a template for whatever provider your team already pays for.

## Why This Matters

The internal enrichment skills (`/enrich-company-name`, `/enrich-industry`, `/backfill-geo-data`) only move data the portal already has. When a contact's email, direct dial, or title simply isn't anywhere in HubSpot, external enrichment is the only fix — and it costs real money per lookup, which is why this skill is built around cost caps, previews, and typed confirmations.

## Provider Landscape

| Provider | Adapter | Strength | Model |
|----------|---------|----------|-------|
| **FullEnrich** (default) | `providers/fullenrich.py` | Waterfall across 20+ sources — best hit rates for email + mobile | Credits per lookup, async bulk API |
| Apollo | `providers/apollo.py` | Large B2B database, titles + firmographics | Credits; personal-data reveals plan-gated |
| Hunter | `providers/hunter.py` | Email finding by name+domain, confidence scores | Requests per plan; email only |
| Dropcontact | `providers/dropcontact.py` | GDPR-first, algorithmic (no stored database) | Credits, async |
| Your provider | copy `providers/_template.py` | Whatever you already use | — |
```
