## What it does

wanman-agent-matrix is a reference skill for wanman, an open-source local agent matrix runtime. A supervisor process runs on your machine and talks to the CLI over JSON-RPC 2.0 on HTTP. Every agent gets its own worktree and its own `$HOME`, so your working directory and shell profile stay untouched.

The skill covers the CLI surface: `wanman takeover <path>` takes over a git repo, `wanman run <goal>` spins up a matrix for a single goal, `wanman send` and `wanman recv` move messages between agents, and `wanman watch` streams activity live. Other command groups handle a shared task pool, initiatives, change capsules, artifacts, hypotheses and shared context. Agents are declared in `.wanman/config.json` with a lifecycle of `24/7`, `on-demand` or `idle_cached`.

Building from source needs Node.js 20+, pnpm 9+, git and a logged-in Claude or Codex CLI. The `idle_cached` lifecycle keeps the Claude `session_id` alive through `claude --resume`, so pairing it with the `codex` runtime fails at startup — worth deciding on `WANMAN_RUNTIME` before you configure agents. The supervisor address comes from `WANMAN_URL` and defaults to `http://localhost:3120`.
